Darkness covers the land, dark and cold.
It stays that way, chilly and eerie until suddenly, something begins to change.
A light appears, gently bursts into the darkness.
It creeps over the horizon, gently rising, illuminating the day.
It is bright, but gentle, glowing as it appears over the water.
Orange glow, it comes up slowly, appearing at first as just a low light
Then growing brighter and brighter as the bright orange ball begins to arise.
The orange glow lights up the water, edging closer and close to the land until,
Slowly, then quickly everything is covered.
The darkness that once held it’s grip over the land slowly gets pushed back,
And the light glows, gentle at first, then bursting with brightness.
Until finally, every bit of darkness is gone.
