Around the lake he took a walk,
Listening to the birds talk.
A solitary figure in a tranquil space.
Seeking solace in nature’s place.
A journey inward, a quest to find peace.
So all his worries, they would cease.
The water whispers of things long forgotten,
Of times where he just felt so downtrodden.
Of inner turmoil and a life unlived,
Of time gone past, and seasons grieved.
Of long-lost love and dreams unfulfilled.
The trees whisper of a life to rebuild,
A chance of hope, to be restored.
A time for peace, to be reassured.
As sunset sets upon the lake,
He knows it won’t be a piece of cake,
But he cannot help but feel renewed.
His lifelong dreams will be pursued ,
His heart forever changed,
Heartache for dreams now exchanged.
With much at stake,
As he walks around the lake.
