Writing Prompt: Memorable Road Trip

Fictional memorable Road Trip:

Addison’s most memorable road trip was Fred’s worst. She loved the snow. He despised it. She was always ready to check out the latest hiking trail with her snowshoes. He just wanted to stay home by the fire.

On the day they headed out for the road trip, the sun was no where to be seen. The snow was coming down so fast, they could barely see the road, but Addison insisted they continue. By the time they neared the trails, the snow was letting up and the roads had mostly cleared.

Their views of the road trip were drastically different by the time they arrived at the trails though. In Addison’s eyes, they’d taken a beautiful drive through the countryside, with snow falling gently all around them. To Fred, they’d risked their lives for an adventure he didn’t even care to go on.

As Addison saw it, they drove through amazing, beautiful landscapes as a gentle snow began to cover the road. In Fred’s eyes, they’d driven across a skating rink, barely surviving as they made their way through the blizzard. Yes, even years later, they would look back and say it was true. Addison’s most memorable road trip was Fred’s worst.
