The snow fell softly on the tree, covering it with a soft white blanket. The trees needles hung low to the ground, the branch weighted down by a load too heavy for it. Sparkly crystals shone in the light, but quickly dripped away as more snow landed on the branch. The heaviness of the snow was almost too much for the branch to take, but still it held on. The heavier the load became, the more the branch bent its’ needles to the ground until finally, against the crushing weight, it broke. It fell into a large pile of snow laying under, gone, slowly covered over as snow piled on.
