She stared at the path in front of her. It looked narrow and dark, not a place she really wanted to take. But they didn’t have much of a choice if they wanted to get to where they wanted to be. He walked ahead of her, taking the first steps down the trail. She looked around, hoping for another path to take but there was none. He turned and reached for her hand. She took it, taking her first step forward, and then another. She was brave and strong, but weary and tired. This was the path less traveled. This was a journey to something more.
