On a Fish

The fish swam to and fro in the tank, coming to the glass with a sad, sad face.

I saw him there every day, his eyes seem to say com and set me free.

He was lonely you see, with no one else to see,

So one day I decided to try bringing him a friend.

I’ve never seen a fish so glad, as happy as can be.

When in swam another fish, tail a wiggling free.

Now both are happy, no more sadness and they swim all around.

Except their home is very small… perhaps it’s time to make a trip to town.

I’ll buy a bigger tank as well, and then they gladly live.

For with lots of room, and a little food, I think just content they’ll be.
