Season 2 has been a great season! I am thankful for everyone who has joined me along the way, and can’t wait to see what Season 3 brings! Looking back since Season One, the My Amuseing Life Podcast has grown and along the way, my own writing has grown with it. As we approach the new year, take some time to reflect on your own writing. Here are 5 tips to help get you started!
Tips: 5 Tips for Reflecting on Your Writing
- Make a list of what you like. Be specific. What works well?
- Make a list of what bothers you. What isn’t working? What needs to be changed. Again, be specific.
- Use a PDF reader to listen to your writing. Save your writing as a PDF file, and then upload it to the reader to have it read aloud. Listening to your own writing can help you find mistakes, areas that need to be improved upon, and see what is really working well.
- Be intentional. Set aside a specific time and place to reflect on your writing.
- Be creative. Use a fun journal, pens, markers, or other means to embrace creativity as you reflect.
Prompt:
Take some time to reflect on your writing from this past year. How have you grown as a writer? What goals would you like to set for next year?
And That’s a Wrap!
And that’s a wrap! I hope you’ve enjoyed My Amuseing Life, Season 2. Although there still be a few blog posts in December, including the December writing prompts, Season 2 of the Podcast has come to an end.
Join me for Season 3 with all new episodes starting in January, 2024!
Until then, happy writing!
