Wintertime
Write about a vivid wintertime memory. Perhaps you remember a special time playing in the snow?
One winter a few years ago, I needed to shovel the driveway as it was snowing hard. We live in the snow belt, and if you don’t stay on top of shoveling during a big storm, it can get pretty heavy and hard to shovel. We have a snowblower now, but back then we didn’t.
So during this storm, my dog Wesley decided to go outside with me. I offered to let him go back in after a few minutes, but he refused. He wanted to be with me. He played in the snow while he watched me work, then sat down where I’d already shoveled. I kept shoveling for awhile. When I turned around at one point, his face was covered in snow. I snapped a picture of him before we both went inside to warm up.
I love this photo of him. It shows his dedication and perseverance even in the midst of a storm. It says a lot about who he is as a dog. Loyal, faithful, and willing to endure hardship if it means being able to be close to his owner. To this day, he loves going outside with me in the winter time. He loves the snow, so much so that I have to make him come in after a bit so he doesn’t get too cold.

He is a very loyal dog.
